In a context where the transformation of the territory results from the daily action of numerous actors, planning instruments and public action increasingly assume a role of mobilization, facilitation and mediation of these multiple actors.

This applied research project aims to test, in practice, ways of implementing this way of acting. To this end, it is concerned with the activation of the Strategic Program for Urban Rehabilitation (PERU) developed in Phase I of this research process, designing the process of involving local actors with a view to implementing the strategy advocated above.

To this end, it will promote an involvement process of the local population with a view to a broad debate about the territory in question and the proposed strategy, for which an exhibition and a cycle of thematic walks and debates will be developed.

The project also includes technical support for the implementation of the local support office that will lead the PERU implementation, as well as support for some of the priority actions foreseen therein, namely the reactivation of the Sampaio Ferreira Factory.
