'Wood Workshop Architecture' with Sami Rintala Conference

Finnish architect Sami Rintala will present the conference 'Wood Workshop Architecture' at FAUP on Saturday, March 2, at 2 p.m. in the Fernando Távora Auditorium.
At the conference, Sami Rintala will discuss topics such as wood construction and the architect's construction-based training method.
Sami Juhani Rintala, 1969, Finland, architect. Master in Architecture from Aalto University (Helsinki University of Technology). He is currently a lecturer at the Norwegian University of Natural Sciences, where he teaches Design in Context. In this context, he has created outstanding works such as 'Sauna ELDMØLLA' (2017), 'Lykta Fireplace' (2019) and more recently 'Sauna Svartisen' (2023). The relevance of his training methods, based on sustainable architecture, led him to receive the Global Award for Sustainable Architecture in 2009. He is one of the founders of Rintala Eggertsson Architects.
