Abstract
The recognition of the historical condition of the territory in the case of Braga, linked to the phenomenon of different adaptations to the geomorphological contrasts that characterize the region, sets the starting point for an analysis focused on valuing the links that have always been established with the attributes of places. The idea of territoriality, which is put forward as a hypothesis of an order, is combined with this perspective of recognizing a specific way of organizing the territory, in order to understand to what extent the study of permanence can be methodologically constituted as a useful procedure in the context of the dynamics of intervention. The proposal progresses through the systematization of three concepts - mediation, co-spatiality and just-distance, which stand out for their potential for continuity, in the consubstantiation of an idea of bond that may be of interest to the contemporary condition of the territory. In line with the contributions that explore approaches between urbanism, architecture and landscape, this research seeks to pave the way for new practices of action that are more inspired by the great founding gestures of the landscape.
