The idea of celebrating the 50th anniversary of April 25 led FAUP to launch the 'More than Houses' initiative, which has been running since April 2023.

Within the FAUP, it materializes as a Continuing Education Unit in a singular format and with a single edition, to be held over three weeks, from April 8 to 25, 2024, with normal classes suspended during the same period.

Organized in vertical groups - with students from all years and teachers from different areas - it seeks to develop dialogue and debate, explore working methods and processes, test approaches to physical and social reality, in all themes related to architecture and the city, based on the approach of a set of problem areas in the city of Porto.

It is primarily aimed at FAUP's MiArq students, but is also open to other FAUP and U.Porto students and even alumni of this institution, conferring 3 ETCS.

In parallel with the Continuing Education Unit, a number of events are planned to take place in the evenings, with free admission: Conferences, Debates, Presentations, Music and Cinema. - The detailed program will be announced in due course.
