The architect Nuno Lacerda Lopes, a professor at FAUP and researcher at CEAU-FAUP, was awarded the title of Citizen of Espinho and the City Medal of Honor by the Espinho City Council, in a ceremony that took place on June 16, as part of the celebration of the 51st anniversary of the city's elevation.

The Municipality of Espinho says that the tribute is due to his career as an architect "responsible for works such as the Quinta de Paramos Housing Complex, FACE or the refurbishment of the headquarters of the Espinho Parish Council", as well as his work "as a set designer, artist and poet."
