On April 19, at 2.30 p.m., the third session of a series of 'talks' entitled TALKS will be held, organized by the Thesis Project Seminar course, study option A - Housing Space Project and Forms of Living.
The guest for the session on the 19th will be architect Daniel Movilla Vega, who has a doctorate from ETSAM, with a thesis entitled 'Housing and Revolution'.
The session is aimed at students on FAUP's PDA doctoral course.
Daniel Movilla Vega is an Associate Professor and Director of the Doctoral Program at the Umeå School of Architecture in Sweden, where he leads the Swedish Housing Studies (SHS) research group and directs the project studio of the master's degree course called Radical Domesticities. Her research focuses on the theme of dwelling and the architecture of domestic spaces, from an approach that integrates architectural design, history, theory and critical studies. Before joining the Umeå School of Architecture, he held a post-doctoral fellowship at LTU in Sweden (2017-2018), was a researcher in Madrid at ETSAM (2008-2012), was a visiting researcher at TU Delft (2012-2013), Columbia University (2013-2014), MARKhI (2014), FAU-USP (2015), NTNU (2016), and ArkDes (2016-2017). She studied Architecture at ETSAM in Madrid, where she obtained her doctorate in Architecture with a thesis entitled Housing and Revolution, based on research into experimental housing types.
