The Portuguese Commission for Tunnels and Underground Space (CPT) of the Portuguese Geotechnical Society (SPG) and the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP), in partnership with FAUP, are promoting the 6th International Seminar Rethinking our Cities Using the Underground Space, which will take place in the FEUP auditorium on November 17, 2023.

The event aims to make society aware of the importance of urban use of underground space, freeing up the surface for recreational and noble purposes. The aim is to bring together local authorities and underground space managers in a collaborative reflection on the sustainability, resilience and efficiency of underground space. The seminar will include a round table discussion moderated by Antonia Cornaro, underground space and urban planning specialist at ITACUS.
