On Friday 11 April, at 2.30pm, the conference ‘Habitar y construir’ will be given by architect Marta Peris (Peris+Toral Arquitectes), a professor at ETSAB.

Peris+Toral Arquitectes
The architecture office PERIS+TORAL ARQUITECTES, based in Barcelona and founded by Marta Peris and José Toral, is dedicated to researching new ways of living associated with innovative construction methods. José Toral works as an associate professor in the Department of Architectural Projects at ETSAB UPC, specialising in the study of public space and urban projects. Marta Peris, on the other hand, is a professor at ETSAB. She presented her PhD in 2016, entitled ‘The Japanese house through the films of Yasujiro Ozu’, published in 2019 under the title ‘Ozu's house’.Both are visiting professors at EPFL Lausanne FS24 - SS25.Their work has been recognised with the RIBA International Awards for Excellence 2024, the CSCAE Spanish Architecture Prize 2022, and they were finalists in the EU MIES AWARD 2022. His work has been exhibited at the Cité de l'Architecture de PARIS 2022, the Best Architecture Exhibition Spain-Korea SEOUL 2021, the Spanish Pavilion at the Venice Biennale 2016, the UIA TOKYO 2011, among others. The conference is organised by professors Rui J. G. Ramos and Eliseu Gonçalves, in collaboration with the Theory 2 curricular unit of the PhD Programme in Architecture - PDA, as part of the ECHO/AdC and HoTT/AdC research projects (CEAU/FAUP).

The conference will be given in Spanish, without translation.
