The Drawing Experience aims to disseminate the act of drawing, a common practice in the training and practice of architecture and an identifying characteristic of the so-called “Porto School”. This activity is part of the 'Kaleidoscope' program, a set of free activities produced in partnership with Casa da Arquitectura during Open House Porto. In this activity, participants turn the exercise of drawing into a meeting place, a reason for contact and the creation of a joint memory, through the spontaneous gesture of offering a drawing made in situ to those who visit the Open House Porto itinerary of works that are part of this initiative. Those who receive a drawing are invited to share a scan of it and a comment about the experience via email: exp.desenho@gmail.com and the social networks associated with the project.

Participation is free and subject to prior registration, using the form available on the project page: experienciadodesenho.arq.up.pt.

This is an initiative associated with Open House Porto and Casa da Arquitectura, promoted by the 'Collection of Drawings' research line, developed at the Center for Architecture and Urbanism Studies of the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto (CEAU-FAUP) in the Architecture: Theory, Project, History (ATPH) Group. The project has the collaboration of the University of Porto Digital (UPdigital), the Faculties of Letters (FLUP) and Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP), the Marques da Silva Foundation (FIMS), the Order of Architects - Northern Regional Section (OASRN) and Sistema do Futuro - Multimedia, Management and Art.
