Architecture Follows Fish Book launch
10th December 2024, 2.30pm, Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation Lisbon
On the occasion of the launch of the book ‘Architecture Follows Fish’, by André Tavares and published by MIT Press, the Fishing Architecture research project is organising a day of work and discussion on 10 December in Auditorium 3 of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon, where the relationship between the construction of terrestrial architecture and the transformation of marine ecosystems will be scrutinised.
The day will be organised into three parts. In the first, the work carried out by the Fishing Architecture project team, funded by the European Research Council, will be presented, followed by a debate on the state of play and future objectives. In the second, the field of discussion will be broadened through short presentations by international experts. At the end of the day, the book motivating the event will be presented.
