Costa Produttiva LAB - International Summer School on Architectural and Landscape Design - September 8 - 14, 2024, Marceddì, Sardinia (Italy) - is an initiative coordinated by the Dipartimento di Ingegneria Civile, Ambientale e Architettura - Università degli Studi di Cagliari and Comune di Terralba, with the participation of FAUP, DICAAR, Università degli Studi di Cagliari, Università degli Studi 'G. d'Annunzio' di Chieti - Pescara, Università di Genova, and ENSAT, Université Toulouse Jean Jaurès.

Marceddì, on the west coast of Sardinia, will be a place for a week of reflection and project practice on the complex territorial/productive system in which the fishing village is integrated.

The summer school will be an opportunity to reflect, through a series of seminars, and to practice the different scales of architectural design in themed project workshops.

The aim is to define scenarios for new ecological, productive and cultural networks geared towards fishing territories.

Applications

Interested parties should submit their application using the online form by no later than 12 noon [Italian time UTC+2] on June 24, 2024.

Information to be submitted on the form:

- Portfolio (min. 3 projects);
- CV.

Recipients

- Those enrolled in Bachelor's degree courses in Architecture (and equivalent);- Those enrolled in Master's degree courses in Architecture (and equivalent);- Those enrolled in Schools of Specialization in Architectural and Landscape Heritage;- PhD students in Architecture;- Young graduates / specialists / PhDs in Architecture.

Selection

Participants will be selected by a committee made up of professors from the participating schools of architecture. The results will be communicated to the candidates by 12 noon on June 27, 2024. Eligible candidates must confirm their registration by 12 noon [Italy time UTC+2] on July 1, 2024; in the event of withdrawal, another candidate may take their place on the list, descending in the ranking order. The final results will be published by 12 noon on July 3, 2024.

Participation costs

Participation includes: the summer school activities, including hotel accommodation, meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner), teaching materials and scheduled trips during the summer school, are borne by the Organizing Structure. Specifically:- 08/09/2024 | transfer from Marrubiu railway terminal to Marceddì;- 08/09/2024 > 14/09/2024 | transfers from the hotel to Marceddì and vice versa;- 15/09/2024 | transfer from the hotel to Marrubiu railway terminal.

Not included: travel to and from the nearest station in the village of Marceddì ('Marrubiu-Terralba-Arborea' in Marrubiu).
